Jean Drummond is a dynamic and knowledgeable health care professional. She combines her passion for business development and commitment to providing health care access for all Americans through her service as President of HCD International. Her key responsibility as President is to ensure she stays current with new changes in both the government and the health care industry. This allows her to provide HCD International's clients with innovative, cost-efficient and customer-focused solutions.

Recently, Jean attended the 8th Annual Maryland Health Disparities Conference where she was able to speak with Dr. Joshua Sharfstein, Maryland's Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene. The conference focused on ways to build health professions educational partnerships to reduce student barriers, strengthen the pipeline, promote diversity, and ultimately increase the number of minority health care professionals.

Jean also attended the National Healthy Start Association briefing at the National Press Club, where she learned of several Healthy Start projects that have demonstrated a reduction in their community's infant deaths, low-birth weight, pre-term births, and disparities in perinatal outcomes.
