What We Do

HCDI is committed to addressing health inequities by focusing on the ways in which jobs, working conditions, education, housing, social inclusion, and even political power influence individual and community health. Everything we do boils down to Health Policy. Our 20-year focus on Prevention, Improving Access & Quality, and Lowering Cost is supported by our broad corporate framework, referred to as our "Pillars of Service."

Pillars of Service

Coordinating strategic alliances, utilizing social marketing, employing research & analysis, and improving public policy are enacted to influence positive change in our society. The types of projects and opportunities that we pursue here at HCDI must provide an opportunity to impact health policy. Our Pillars of Service provide a balanced framework which effectively encompasses all of the theories, methodologies, practices, and skillsets required to exceed the expectations of our clients while concurrently fulfilling our desire to shape health equity.

Strategic Alliances

HCDI understands the value of coordinating strategic alliances. The alliance is a cooperation or collaboration which aims for a synergy. Enabling the correct alliance can allow each of our partners to concentrate on activities that best match their capabilities while ensuring the client's needs are fulfilled through one avenue.

Social Marketing

Social marketing is the systematic application of marketing, which HCDI combines with other concepts and techniques, to achieve specific behavioral goals for a social good. The social (social sciences and social policy) component and the marketing (commercial and public sector) component provide an interdisciplinary collaboration opportunity for our staff that ensures intelligent solutions.

Research & Analysis

HCDI utilizes its expertise in quantitative and qualitative research and analysis to help companies and agencies accomplish their health-related missions. Employing new statistical research strategies to achieve these goals ensures in-depth analysis, which in turn provides comprehensive solutions.

Public Policy

HCDI understands the important link between sound public policy and the development and implementation of high quality programs. With an eye towards ensuring that the original intentions of legislation and regulations are met, HCDI maintains a cadre of specialized staff across a broad range of subject matter areas. These staff are equipped with strong research, analysis, and writing skills and collectively provide the intellectual capital to support agencies in advancing their missions.
